Melia Salinas beach or ‘Salinas Beach’ is a small golden sandy beach nestled in between La Cucharas Beach and Los Charcos beach. The beach is quiet with a sea wall sheltering it.
The names of the beach comes from the nearby Melia Salinas Hotel.
To get to the Salinas beach you need to walk as there is no car access. Go to the Los Charcos car park and follow the coast path south or walk North along coast from Las Cucharas beach.
Melia Salinas beach is a small and pretty golden white sandy beach. The Melia Salinas hotel is just behind the beach sheltering it from prevailing winds. Entry to the sea is good especially at high tide, at low tide enter to the left side. At low tide there are some underwater boulders and rocks so be a little careful. Swimming and snorkeling are good. Do not swim out too far as there can be lots of Wing Foilers and Windsurfers moving quickly that may not see you.
Local facilities are mainly behind Las Cucharas beach just a few minutes walk along the coast.
The Salinas beach makes for a nice relaxing day out normally peaceful.
There are sun beds with parasols set up on the beach that can be hired for the day. Just lay on the sun bed and the guy will come along for the money. Cost is about 10 euros per day.
All the beaches in Costa Teguise are joined via a beautiful sea front promenade. The promenade stretches from a few hundred meters North of Los Charcos beach all the way South as far as the house used by the King of Spain. The walk from one end of the promenade to the other is around four kilometres passing by all the beaches of Costa Teguise.
Salinas beach is a very pretty small beach with a large sandy area behind. There is loads of room to set up your towels and have some fun. Sun beds with parasols are available where you can stay all day using the parasol to avoid sun burn.
