Overview of Playa Dorada

Playa Dorada is a popular and safe golden sandy beach in Playa Blanca.
A shopping centre just behind the beach has everything you need to augment a great beach day.

Getting there

To get to Playa Dorada you can walk or cycle along the beach front promenade heading East from the town centre or West from Marina Rubicon. From the centre of Playa Blanca Playa Dorada is a five minute walk.

To drive to Playa Dorada head east from the centre of town along the road closest to the sea front called Avenida de Papagayo. There is a shopping centre on the right a few hundred meters from the town centre. Park in the shopping centre car park then walk down and through all the shops. Playa Dorada is on the other side of the shops.

About Playa Dorada

Playa Dorada is a nice good quality sandy beach with clear blue water. The bay is protected from waves and currents by two arms of a sea wall.
The beach is around three hundred meters wide.
There are sun beds and parasols for hire.

Just behind the beach is the beach front promenade that spans the whole of Playa Blanca. The beach is adjacent to a shopping centre where any supplies you need for a good day on the beach can be found.

The beach is good for sunbathing, relaxing, snorkelling and swimming.
A safe and fun beach for all the family.
